Ipoderma
The IPODERMA series explores the intimate connection between human beings and nature, revealing how their hidden layers share the same vulnerability and call for care in the face of climate change.
A clear sign of this crisis, the bark used in the work comes from a tree that fell in Italy following a violent and unusual storm.
Beneath the surface, a parallel emerges between the visceral layers of trees and the hidden structures of our own bodies. Anatomies that mirror each other in fragility, depth, and the need for protection. We are not separate: what lies beneath—in bark, flesh, roots, and bones—speaks the same language. Preserving the hidden layers of nature means preserving the most fragile part of ourselves.
