Ocean of Bodies
Ocean of Bodies is a site-specific light installation exploring the urgent relationship between humanity, the oceans, and marine biodiversity conservation. Centered around a totemic double-faced sculptural form, the monumental work presents layered images that merge human X-rays from multiple individuals with microphotographs of marine vegetation.
Two distant worlds are fused into a single hybrid living entity, evoking the profound interconnection between the human body and the fragile ecosystems of the sea.
